I Am READY To Believe!!!
PRAISE GOD! You are about to embark upon the most exciting, challenging, and purposeful life you could ever imagine! You can be assured that GOD has been pursuing YOU, and wants to be reconciled to YOU as much as you want to be reconciled to HIM!
What Do I Do Now?
Some people are familiar with the 'Sinners Prayer.' This prayer is a pronouncement to God that we are believers, and prepared to be reconciled to Him.
"Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
Essentially, the prayer states that we understand that we are sinners, and that we believe Jesus is the Christ who will reconcile us to God. We then pledge our lives to God and His Christ. While the act of 'saying' the words to not provide salvation (reconciliation), the prayer is a great means of 'starting' off with a confession to God and mark the beginning of the new life. So if you are ready, repeat this prayer (to yourself, or to someone who you want to know that you are now a BELIEVER:
DEAR GOD- I NOW CONFESS TO YOU THAT I AM A SINNER - AND I UNDERSTAND THAT I CAN NEVER ON MY OWN ACHIEVE THE HOLINESS THAT YOU REQUIRE. BUT I BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS, AND ROSE AGAIN TO PROVIDE THE MEANS OF RECONCILIATION TO YOU. I NOW ASK YOU TO FORGIVE MY SINS, THROUGH CHRIST, AND I ACCEPT HIM AS THE SAVIOR AND THE LORD OF MY LIFE. AS BEST AS I CAN, I WILL NOW FOLLOW JESUS' COMMANDS, TURN FROM MY SINS, AND PLACE MY TRUST IN YOU. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INCREDIBLE GIFT TO ME! AMEN
CONGRATULATIONS! You are now a Child of God, and can have ASSURANCE that God will work in your life to produce the fruit of a meaningful, purpose-filled life and eternity with HIM!
The peace of Jesus will now bring you peace in your soul to come before God, and to focus upon Christian Maturity and the pursuit of a Meaningful Life in Christ, without worry of your past, present, or future sins. Nothing can take this away from you, as you strive to work out your salvation in Christ! PRAISE GOD!
